How to Set Up Retrieval Practice for Your Students on Teepee.ai

Teepee.ai simplifies the process of implementing automated spaced retrieval practice to help students retain knowledge and prepare for exams. Follow these steps to set up retrieval practice for your classroom.

1. Informing the System

You can inform the system in two ways, and both can be done in parallel.

Covered So Far:

If you’ve joined Teepee.ai mid-session, update the system on what your students have already covered. This will add these topics as new learning experiences, ensuring they’re reinforced in future retrieval sessions.

Step 1: Click on “Covered So Far”

Step 2: Select all the topics, subtopics, and related lessons or concepts you’ve covered so far, then press Save.

Step 3: You’ll receive a confirmation that the retrieval engine has been updated, and students will start receiving quizzes.

Plan to Cover:

Alternatively, input your upcoming teaching plan by specifying the days when you plan to cover certain topics. Teepee.ai will automatically schedule corresponding MCQs for the selected dates.

Note: You can update your schedule anytime—you don’t need to do it all at once.

Step 1: Click on “Plan to Cover”.

Step 2: In the calendar view, choose the date and input your teaching plan for that day.

Step 3: Choose the topic, subtopic, and lessons you plan to cover that day, then hit Save.

Step 4: Repeat this process for other dates as needed.

Step 5: Once finished, click Update.

When Will Students Receive Their First Quizzes?

Students will receive their first quizzes 24 hours after the scheduled date of the lesson. For example, if you’ve scheduled the lesson “The Purpose of the CPU & F-D-E Cycle” for 19th September 2024, Teepee.ai will add related questions as new learning and schedule the first quiz for 20th September 2024.

3. Invite Students to the Classroom

If you haven’t already done so, invite your students to join the classroom. Share the class code with them, and they can use it to access quizzes and assignments.
